23rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Drone/Aerial
Cono de Arita
Cono de Arita rises like a perfect pyramid above the salt flats of Argentina’s remote Puna de Atacama. Formed by volcanic activity, it stands solitary against the vast Salar de Arizaro. It almost looks artificial in its totally flat surroundings with no other elevation around, which makes it incredibly interesting for aerial drone compositions.
