I was visiting the old Gypsy quarters in Granada when I decided to explore the neighborhoods just west of Albaicin´s Plaza San Nicolas. I then stumbled upon this view. I was amazed at the juxtaposition of the new private apartment buildings below the grand, historical fortress, palace, and citadel of Alhambra. The castle sat on a forested hill, perched above the modern residential buildings, resting closer to the mountainous Sierra Nevada.
