Converging Extremities
The diagonal boundary between the nature and urban areas is a fascinating representation of Montreal, Canada: it is compact, tranquil, and cosmopolitan. The flickering maple branches and bustling asphalt pavements can fit perfectly in harmony, yet non-interfering. Taken in July 2021, 1 year and 4 months after Montreal has been involved in a global pandemic, the city seems to be just as tranquil as before-----yet something is different. Though the dark clouds are hovering above, Montreal handles it with grace. Modern buildings accompanied by thousands of maple trees------or vice versa, Montrealers and the whole mankind, will surely overcome this plight.
