My love and fascination for slightly sinister, darker portrayals of flowers is shining through this piece. I enjoyed the original photograph, but to my eye, the colours were all wrong, when I choose my mediums to edit the work I felt like it would make a fantastic darker piece. The black hole in the centre makes me feel the urge to jump right into the flowers heart.
