Coral harvesting: the reef restoration project

Underwater scientists at work on artificial "coral trees". After 4 months of assisted "propagation of the staghorn and elkhorn coral's fragments in the "coral nurseries" site, scientists are harvesting and tagging the regenerated fragments in order to outplant them in a specific site for the final "coral restoration". Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire is formed by a team of scientist, divers and volunteers who are putting together their efforts and skills to conduct the project.
