After the winds from Hurricane Dorian had moved northward early September 2019 and the skies had cleared, it was time for all walks of Floridian life to return to the beach. With the opening to Port Everglades in the distance, I photographed this blue-eyed Cormorant whilst taking in the gentle surf conditions. The Cormorant appeared, by all accounts “at home” in this beautiful Florida State Park where both man and nature respectfully and safely share the natural amenities.
