This couple was walking on the Lichtenaller Allee, the magical tree-laden tree by the river in Baden-Baden. I was struck not just by their beauty, but by how well they corresponded to one another. The light clothing, the purposeful gait, so aligned with one another. And yet something about them struck me as old world.
