Corridor to paradise - sailboat in the harbor of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.

The picture is showing a sailboat seen from one of the narrow streets in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas U.S.V.I. Many streets on this island had long corridors with typically large wooden doors on each side. It reminded me of the scenery for a pirate movie. While strolling around the picturesque historical downtown district, I turned around to take a look at the turquoise water on the harbor side. Right at that moment the little sailboat passed by and was framed just perfectly by the dark little corridor with the heavy wooden doors on the left and right side. A corridor to paradise!
