18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
Cotton field at dusk.
This is a cotton field near my home town. They mainly grow cotton, tobacco and peanuts down that road. I love seeing the cotton before harvest. This particular field has an old barn in the back. I look to see it every time I pass by. There’s a lot of history there. You just have to look around to see it.
