This young cougar kitten (Puma Concolor) prowls the hills above Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean by Santa Monica Bay. Lagging behind the mother and sibling, this young puma took a moment to observe my camera before scampering off into the urban wildlands along the backyards of million dollar mansions and busy hiking trails. The only other megacity with urban lions is Mumbai, India.
