While doing mission work in the Dominican Republic, this young boy and my brother formed a quick bond. The boy followed my brother everywhere we went for the week. Unfortunately, the boy only spoke Spanish and my brother only spoke English, so the majority of their communication had to be done through signals and hand motions. Of course, one language that is constant through all cultures is numbers, and this young boy loved to simply do nothing more than count his fingers with my brother. It put a smile on his face every time.
