Counting Sheep
The men were sorting through hundreds of sheep in the last days of the Mongolian Winter Migration across the Altai Mounts. Because two families had been migrating together with their livestock, they needed to separate the herd in order to go their separate ways. Here, the men push out a stubborn sheep through the gate during a very cold and early morning livestock sorting.
