COUNTS D’ URSEL CASTLE BY THE OURTHE RIVER
This impressive castle is situated on a limestone rock above the river Ourthe, in the small charming historical town of Durbuy in the Ardennes Forest in Belgium. It was built in the 9th century by Henri II Le Puer and passed on successively to the family of Luxembourg, the Duchy of Limbourg, the House of Burgundy, the Prince of Liege, the La Marck family, the House of Spanish Habsbourg, the House of Austrian Habsbourg and nowadays it is privately owned by the counts D’ Ursel family.
