14th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Courantyne River between Guyana and Suriname
It was taken while I was on a trip to Georgetown, Guyana for work. Decided to take a weekend tour up the Courantyne River and then into the rainforest on the Suriname side to see a waterfall hidden in the mountains there.
