The aurora is a rare occurrence in my area. That night the aurora was looking like it might show up. I headed to the north shore to check and sure enough, it was starting up. I set myself up at this iconic lighthouse and the pillars started. I was able to get both the aurora and the Milky Way in one image. It was the perfect night.
