22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Critical Pollination

It seems that we as a species are hellbent on our destruction. One small but critical issue is that we consistently use pesticides that also kill pollinators. Here's a bee doing what a bee does best. We need to protect them because without pollinators we'll have no food at all...and be one step closer to our own demise.
