Curiosity of a Child

I captured this candid of a child peeking through the hole of a painted chicken photo stand. Fair goers at Pierce County Fair in Wisconsin enjoy shooting pictures of their children and/or adults who poke their head though the opening on the opposite side of stands similar to this throughout the fairgrounds. This young boy chose to look on the front side, out of curiosity and stood on his tip toes to investigate through the opening. I couldn't help but think how much it looked like the child was wearing an angel wing, which of course was part of the chicken design. I hoped upon hope he would keep that position long enough for me to get my Nikon Cool Pix P900 camera out of my case while sitting a short distance away on a bench with my husband who attended with me, August 8. 2025 on Senior Day. It was a quick candid as the boy and the lady who was with him, presumably his mother, didn't linger long and left together along with the infant, not shown, in the baby buggy. They were strangers to me, but delighted that I caught this precious moment, just in time before they left.
