While visiting my grandparents in Shanghai, I stumbled upon a crumbling neighborhood of old buildings that were about to be demolished to make way for new construction. The combination of deteriorating buildings and the vitality of two children riding bicycles caught my interest. This image also reminded me of my childhood in Shanghai, when I rode bikes through similar streets surrounded by buildings.
