A 14-day bicycle trip from Annecy to Nice via the Route des Grand Alps. The road from Beaufort to Bourg St Maurice via the Cormet d’Areche is unpaved for 6km, so vehicles of any sort are rare. Still, just beyond the peak on the Bourg side a small hostel was serving lunch.
