Cypress Knee

Another favorite place to visit is Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. The boardwalk is not that long and the landscape is so interesting. You just never know what you are going to see and most everything is so lush. This Cypress knee was large so it must’ve been growing for a while. The tannin water looked dark and mercurial with the sunlight filtering through the trees.
