Daisy Town Cabin

Daisy Town in Elkmont was built before the area became a national park. Families from Knoxville built these cabins as summer escapes to the cool mountain air. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park was established in 1934. Since Daisy Town was now within the park's boundary owners were given lifetime leases. These leases ended in the early 1990's . The cabins sat abandoned and many have been torn down. The few remaining cabins are being restored. This cabin is one that was was restored
