Danza De Los Voladores

Translated as "Dance of the Flyers", this Mesoamerican ritual is a powerful symbol of the Totonaca folk culture. The tradition starts with four men hanging upside-down on a high pole, slowly spinning down while playing the drum or a flute. Each men symbolizes the four elements of nature (fire, earth, wind, and water), orbiting around the sun to wish for happiness and fertility.
