Danzante en Cuetzalan

A dancer in traditional festival attire stands in the foreground of the main church square in Cuetzalan. Seen from a low angle against the bright blue sky, his colorful headdress of ribbons, flowers, and fringe partially hides his face while he holds long green ribbons in his hands. In the background, the tall pole rises above the scene, where the Voladores de Papantla spin in mid-air during the town’s patron saint festivities.
