It was my first-time storm chasing in Texas and I witnessed this incredible cloud to ground lightning strike. Since it was the middle of the night, all our surroundings were dark except for the sky. Cloud to ground lightning strikes are significantly less common than other types of lightning occurrences, which made capturing this shot feel extra special.
