The apple of the Datura plant (Sacred Datura, Datura Wrightii) is actually a seed pod, and the seeds are legendary in folklore, as medicine, and as poison. This particular plant is growing above the Granite Face cliff off the Whitewash trail in South Sandia Open Space, Albuquerque, NM. The hike is very difficult and nearly vertical.
