Nigeen lake is situated in Srinagar, India. A few decades ago, water in the lake was used for drinking. Water was pristine and pure. But today, the beautiful lake is in a pathetic condition. Water stinks, there is garbage floating everywhere. One house boat is seen in the picture but there are many more in the lake that dispose off waste into the lake. Strict measures should be taken to ensure the lake is not polluted further. Serenity of this lake should be restored.
