George's Island is one of many islands that reside in Boston Harbor, and is rich in American history. Fort Warren opened on this island in 1834, and the structure still stands to this day. In it's time, the fort was used in the Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI and WWII. However, as seen in the photograph, the fort is beginning to show signs of it's age.
