Deciduous tree in marcescence - South Buffalo NY
By February in Western NY, most deciduous trees have lost their leaves. Those that don’t experience "marcescense," with their shriveled leaves hanging on until spring. Here’s a great example in Cazenovia Park, an Olmsted park in South Buffalo.
