Defence
Two egrets are fighting here. Battling egrets look like dancing ballerinas in the air. It shows the contrast between elegance and aggression. Intermediate egrets are usually seen as calm, graceful birds—standing still in water or flying gently over wetlands, but here they’re completely different—wings flared, feathers flying, legs kicking. It almost feels like a mix of dance and fight, full of raw energy. That clash between elegance and aggression is what makes the scene so striking.
