Depopulation
This portfolio is part of an ongoing project under the title "depopulation". Villages with less than 2000 inhabitants have been selected along the shores of lake of Como, Italy, in order to highlight those anthropic and cultural traits that distinguish the populations living on the lake, away from touristic contexts that have altered them for better or worse. Houses built with local stones, small harbors used by fishermen, silence .... the time runs slowly on these shores even though the signs of a modest modernization sporadically appear.
