Descendants of Slaves - a FREE People
This scene was captured on the road leaving Cartagena, Colombia traveling to Palenque, in the mountains. This was the first free city in Spanish America, founded by runaway slaves who secured their FREEDOM. Much of the city and its outskirts date back to the 16th century. This is the home to a family determined lives it’s tradition, no matter the poverty.
