Desert-Adapted Elephant

Desert-adapted elephants have been able to accomplish what their name says: adapt in the desert. Traveling long distances for water and even being able to dig for water in dry riverbeds, these creatures are truly magnificent. This elephant, which we saw in Damaraland, Namibia, was having its breakfast, when the herd of 14 elephants decided to move on, so the meal was taken to-go!
