18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
Desert crossing
May 2019, Morocco. My partner and I traveled to the desert at the Algerian border. We took a camel ride to watch the sunset, then climbed a dune; I turned to him and show the passing from darkness to light, from despair to hope.
