Desert Flames
From high above Death Valley, dry washes and alluvial fans resemble rising tongues of fire, as if the desert itself were burning from below. Sunlight carves out the ridges and channels, turning erosion patterns into an illusion of movement and heat. What appears at first like a blaze is simply the land revealing its own elemental geometry.
