Desolation of Time

The mighty Tungabhadra river graces the time-wearied ruins of Hampi, the erstwhile capital of the Vijayanagar empire, as the lonely Virupaksha temple nestled among the coconut trees, contemplates the grandeur of time. Virupaksha temple was the only surviving, living temple after the destruction of Hampi due to the Battle of Talikota in 1565.
