DFW National Cemetery

I was walking behind my mother and my son as we were leaving my father's grave site after visiting it for the very first time. he was laid to rest in Dallas-Fort Worth National veterans cemetery in September of 2023 and his headstone was not placed until late October this was November 10th the day before Veterans Day at the start of Veterans Day weekend that we chose to use this day to honor my dad and go and visit his grave site for the first time and place flowers my dad's grave is on a hill and so it was hard for my mother to climb up alone because she's in her late 70s so my 17 year old son assisted her both going up and coming down (my late husband my son's father was also a veteran and he passed away 2 years ago) so this photo is very poignant as Veterans Day has always been very important in our family ...because we have lots of veterans in our family ....including one who is still serving and has a year and a half before hee finishes 22 years.
