Dhuno Pora
Dhuno Pora is a kind of penance, observed by the ladies of the rural Hindu families, for the general well being of her family members during summer months. In the summer days, ponds and tanks dry up in the villages and water scarcity leads to several epidemics like cholera. To keep the diseases away, women practice penance in the form of dondi and dhuno pora.
