19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Dirt Road and Lightning
Taken on the backroads of Westcliff, Colorado during the summer of 2021. The skies were cloudy and smoke from westward fires lingered in the skies. I wanted to portray the beauty and the danger of the wilderness. The notion that we are drawn in by beauty and darkness.
