Dogs Rule
Japan's birth rate has been decreasing since the late 1970's. The birth rate reached a record low of 1.26 and by 2018 it was at 1.42. Two reported contributing factors are that Japanese women are delaying or foregoing the experience of having children. Meanwhile, dogs are said to be the most popular animals in Japan.
