17th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
Donate a ponytail
My daughter had never had a haircut until 5. I only trimmed her ends once. Her curls were beautiful. But growing her hair was painful process with all the detangling. It reached her waistline. Then I decided to donate it. I looked up few organizations that make wigs for kids with no hair. My girl agreed without too much of convincing. She donated the whole 12". Then she said to her ponytail "Please, make that girl feel better"
