"Don't forget to stop and smell the roses!"

We live in a busy world that is getting busier every second! We are walking fast because we need to get to somewhere; we are taking on the phone because we have an important business. We ignore those daily beauties that surround us. But no matter how busy we get, we should always stop and smell the roses! This picture is an ordinary, but not so ordinary lily in a city garden. It is inspired by my high school teacher, who wrote on my yearbook: “Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!” As a high achieving student, I was always focused on school. Now that I have grown older, I see the importance of noticing even the smallest details in nature around our cities. Our professional achievements can only bring us somewhere, but not everywhere so don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!
