I staying on Ocotillo Mesa near Terlingua when one of their famous thunderstorms rolled in. Suspecting a good show, I grabbed my gear and ran outside just in time to see the storm rapidly approaching and the rainbows forming. When the wind started gusting to 50 mph and the lightning was getting too close for comfort, I decided it was time to retreat indoors.
