Utility companies are allowed to do just about anything they wish when a tree is in its way. As I bicycled down a street in South Buffalo, I initially gasped when I saw this doughnut-hole-of-a tree. Realizing that the tree had managed to maintain its beauty and dignity, I stopped and took this photo.
