Dragonflies mating Nikon Coolpix P1000

One sunny morning in October I was walking around the lake in the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Area in Los Angeles looking for birds to photograph. In particular I wanted to get a shot of a very elusive common yellowthroat that hides in the bullrushes around the lake. I didn't see a yellowthroat, but these dragonflies caught my eye. At first I couldn't figure out what I was looking at, but then it clicked. There are always lots of dragonflies around, and the birds love to eat them. I thought this shot was so interesting.
