The travertine terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park seem unreal and yet spectacular at the same time. The stark white calcium carbonate deposits with a bunch of dead trees in their midst make the place quite surreal, especially when the shadows of the trees are long and eerie during mid-day.
