At the Hudson River’s edge in New York near the Rip Van Winkle Bridge are an unlikely pair waiting for- it’s hard to tell what -since they are so far from their natural habitats –a porpoise and seal. I walk closer to get a better look and hope I won’t scare them away but they don’t budge. Then I notice they are just driftwood. Glad now they will stay.
