Manual Paddy Drying - Nowadays manual paddy drying has become a very rare thing. Manual paddy drying is still practiced in some parts of West Bengal, India. While various machines have come around for drying paddy, some rice mill owners still keep the process of manual drying process for their long time workers. Because when modern machinery comes, all these workers will become jobless. Above all this method of manual paddy drying is also environment friendly. I went to one such rice mill and talked to the workers there and took some pictures from my drone that looked very nice to me.
