Spring in Texas explodes with life! Trees and plants are blooming, bulbs springing up offering their array of colors, and wildlife is boasting of their new broods. As we sat having dinner by the pond behind our home, our grandson spotted movement in the pond. Moving slowly towards the inlet, we spotted this beautiful Mallard with her ducklings nibbling their way among the grasses on the edge of the bank. Upon being spotted, Mother quickly instructed her young to stay close and they obeyed immediately. They glided through the water with Mother keeping a steady eye on us. A truly beautiful and touching site!
