I have been planning my trip to the sandy desert among the taiga and snow-capped mountains of Siberia for a long time. Many millions of years ago, this desert was the bottom of a huge lake locked between mountain ranges. A few million years ago, on the site of this lake, there is a huge glacier, which was removed by the end of the Ice Age.
