The photo was taken while I was hiking in Colorado's Great Sand Dunes National Park with my brother and my father. I saw my brother hiking up ahead of me, with the harsh desert sunlight, the clear blue sky and the sand flowing down from his boot all flowing together to provide a striking image of dune roving in the southernmost wilderness of the Centennial State.
